I've had my garden furniture stolen is it worth claiming?

The total comes to about £400 but is it worth claiming on the house insurance or will my no claims discount be wiped out next year and end up costing me more in the long run?

Had exactly the same thing happen..

Usually its not worth claiming as there will be an excess, do you have a crime reference number, was the back gate locked %26amp; the best one - do you have receipts... If you have a no claims protected policy - claim - if not (Most arn't) depends on excess..

I find landmines to be a worthwile addition to your garden accessories... ;) grin.... If only!

Have fun!
Reply:of course it is !!!! you were violated!!! report it and claim it !!
Reply:I think it would be best to claim it it depends what sort of insurance policy you've got. You need to work out the cost of all the furniture (£400) versus how much you would loose on insurance. Hope that helps
Reply:What is your deductible. If the value is less than your deductible, then no reason to claim it.

Save the insurance for something more valuable.
Reply:depends on what your deductable is?
Reply:it wont afect your insurance that much, maybe a couple of pounds a year. If you've reported it to the police, get the crime number to give to your insurance co. its deffo worth claiming
