Wrought Iron garden furniture. Its rusty, what is the best way to prepare it and repaint?

thoroughly remove old paint with a wire brush and then emery paper (sandpaper for metal). Apply a rex oxide primer, or some sort of rust inhibitor, then paint in your chosen colour. Hammerite is good, but there are plenty of other paints for metal at the DIY store.
