I have to write an essay on what is the american dream. and i need a conclusion paragraph please help.
Everyone has a dream. Some people dream of having enough food for their family, or having a house to live in. Americans have different dreams. The dream now, unlike in the past is to have more. All Americans dream of having a perfect family, owning a nice house, and having a good job.
Americans want a perfect family. They want a spouse that shows respect. They want their spouse to work, and still have time to spend together. They want to go out with their spouse routinely. They want perfect children. Children that are beautiful, smart, athletic, and make good decisions. They want their children to follow rules, and have no fighting. They want to have good things for their family.
Americans dream of owning a big house. They want enough room for their family, and more. They want their house to look good, and have nice things for it. They want the perfect furniture. They want the perfect yard with flowers, a garden, and a white picket fence. They want a lot of room for their children and pets to play. To have this nice house they have to have a good, steady job.
Americans want the perfect job. A job with short hours. They want to do something they enjoy. They want a job that pays a lot, and has good hours. They want a job that they can rely on, and not have to worry about getting fired or laid off. They want to be able to buy nice clothes, have a new car, or anything that they want. In the past people wanted to become rich by working hard, but now in the twentieth century people want to become rich using a “get rich quick” strategy.
I need help comming up with a conclusion paragraph for my essay?
Nevertheless, the truth remains that all the aspirations and yearnings today's Americans have, mean absolutely nothing when tragedy strikes!
What a change in attitude a confrontation with terminal illness or death can have on the spirit and how materialism and selfishness shrink into oblivion when faced with such adversities.
