Help!!!!!!!!!! SPiders!!!!?

I have a serious fear of spiders. I live in a city, in a building that is pretty old. When I moved in I found dead spiders, so I sprayed my apt and bought dryer sheets bc I was told that they can prevent spiders by the electromagnetic sounds. Anyways, this worked UNTIL today. I found a large spider and nearly had a heart attack. I killed it with some spray but now I want to take extra measures to feel comfortable.

I read that Sevin Dust works well for spiders. But while researching it, I read that since it gets rid of spiders, then mites and other bugs that spiders kill will show up. Is this only true in garden settings, or will this happen indoors as well? ALl i have in my apartment is furniture and clothes, nothing for mites to want to harvest on. Is Sevin dust safe? Is it the best option? Any other things that work really well?

Help!!!!!!!!!! SPiders!!!!?
I use a spray thing called Home Defense, it comes in a really big white container with a hose and a sprayer on the end, you spray it on the outside of your home at doors and windows and whatever other openings bugs can get through, and on the inside at the same spots and it works great. Whenever it rains where I live we'll always get bugs inside, but ever since we started using it a month ago, it has rained and we have yet to see one even tiny bug.
Reply:sevin dust is ok and walmart and home depot make a indoor spray that lasts up to 6 months, it is called home defense, i use it once a month because i am deadly afraid of spiders too
