How do we stop our dogs from biting our slippers, wood furnitures , wires and etc. ?

i have this puppy which is about 1 year and 1 month old already. he kept biting all of the slippers and wires and also wooden furnitures. ive already tried beating him alot of times using the slipper/showing him what he had done. and yes, i know that there is a anti-bite spray for dogs. but its too expensive. what can i do to keep it from biting all my slippers (that he already destroyed/biten a few; lets say 8 ?!) and the wooden furniture my mum really loves? and the wires of the garden lights that my dad fixed 3 times ? if he kept on being like this, my mum and dad will give him away. and he is currently biten my dad's slipper and currently our family has only one slipper left. I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP!

if a little bottle of $8-$15 spray is too expensive, maybe you shouldn't have a dog in the first place. It sounds like your dog needs training, and should have had it a long time ago. You can try using cayenne pepper as a deterrant, but if he is chewing on everything, that won't help because he will just find something else to chew on. First of all, you could start by putting things away so he cant get them anymore. If he likes slippers, then keep the slippers in a closed closet. I would say to get him plenty of chew toys and things that he is allowed to chew on, but those are even more expensive than apple bitter spray so I don't really know. You are right, you do need professional help, in the form of a professional trainer to teach you how to train your dog without beating him. At the very least, you need to get a book on training. Hitting him with the slipper is not the way to do it!
Reply:If you do need professional help, then why ask it here? Many contributors online might make a fool out of you... And NEVER beat a dog! let alone, a PUPPY! He is a puppy! Patience please!!!

We have a rott, and just like you, our pet likes to bite things, but ever since we bought her a ball, she started chasing after it.Do not beat your dog! Instead, why don't you buy him a toy he likes???
Reply:IF...you are not able to train the dog....then you should definitely not have one. Stop beating it, that will not work. Get rid of the dog....maybe someone else can train it....and have no problem.
Reply:You're right. You do need professional help, but not for the dog, for you. You do not beat an animal, regardless of if it's with a slipper. Your dog has been able to do whatever he likes without proper training. Do not blame the dog, blame yourself for not being responsible. It sounds to me like he is bored. Dogs tend to get destructive when they are not exercised enough or paid enough attention. If your slippers wee put away where he could not reach them, that would solve that problem. Also he can't chew on things if he's being supervised properly. Which I think is a major issue. If you do not have the money for the spray, you do not have money to bring in a "professional". maybe it's time to rethink dog ownership for the well being of the dog.
