I recently got a job at Kmart and they said I would be in the 'Home' section. What does this mean? Does it mean it has to do with furniture, manchester and garden etc etc? And what will I be doing?
I was hoping to be on checkout, because that's what I did at my old job, and I really enjoyed it, but I don't think that I will be doing that any more :(
Working at K-mart?
Most K-marts and Wal-Marts have floaters in non critical zones. So just because you're in home doesn't mean you won't do register. Depends on how busy the store is.
And the "home" section is housewares. Linens, lamps, bath, all that "home" stuff.
Reply:I think it means in the dept. that has for in the home items that are used inside.it may not be the position you hoped for, so after or when you go in for orientation discuss it with the person who is orientating you. Some times when you learn about the products that the store has to offer ,you can climb the latter sooner, Good lick
Reply:you will be working by the furniture etc. most of what you will be doing is "straightening" meaning making sure everything looks good and neat. also assisting customers with random things. It is pretty boring, but it's money.
